Chemical testing laboratory

The "Moldovatransgaz" LLC chemical laboratory testing unit was established in 2005 on the basis of the chemical laboratories of Chisinau linear production site and the Causeni Gas measuring station.

In 2006, the testing chemical laboratory of LLC "Moldovatransgaz" was accredited in accordance with the requirements of SM SR EN ISO/CEI 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories." In 2017, the new laboratory was re-accredited by the National Accreditation Center MOLDAC (Certificate No. LÎ 033). You can get acquainted with the scope of laboratory accreditation at the following link:

The main laboratory activity is to control the quality of the natural gas, supplied to Moldovan consumers as well as natural gas transported through the territory in accordance with the requirements of the interstate standard GOST 5542 “Combustible natural gas for industrial and municipal purposes. Technical conditions ".

Currently, the laboratory has three branches, located at the Chisinau linear production site, Drochia linear production site and the Causeni gas measuring station.

The laboratory has qualified personnel and modern equipment that allows testing the quality of the natural gas for all physical and chemical parameters in accordance with the requirements of GOST 5542.

At the entry points to the RM gas transportation system, the laboratory monitors the quality of imported natural gas with flow metering operating in Non-Stop mode, analyzing the gas quality several times per hour.

Based on the test results, the laboratory draws up Gas Passports, which are published on the company's website.

In order to confirm its competence in the field of determining the quality of natural gas, the laboratory in 2017 took part in interstate comparative tests (MSI), organized by the All-Russian Research Institute of Metrology named after D.I.  Mendeleev St. Petersburg, accredited by the Association of Analytical Centers”, which is an associate member of ILAC and APLAC (Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Agency).

In accordance with the obtained Certificate, the average z-index of the enterprise laboratory is 0.35, with a high indicator for interlaboratory comparisons and confirms the competence of the laboratory in the field of natural gas quality control and the reliability of information on the physical and chemical parameters of gas, provided to the enterprise management and consumers of the Republic of Moldova. For third-party customers, the chemical testing laboratory provides the following services:

  • Testing of the natural gas for compliance with GOST 5542.
  • Testing of the fuel compressed natural gas for internal combustion engines in compliance with GOST 27577.
  • Testing of cars fuel and LPG in accordance with SM SR EN 589.
  • Testing of the liquefied hydrocarbon fuel gases in accordance with GOST 20448, GOST 27578, GOST R 52087.
